Isolation + Imagination=Innovation

The term “innovation” derives from the Latin word innovus. It’s foundation is based from two words, (in- “into” + novus “new”.) Innovation basically means embracing the new. It’s about leaving our old mental models and embracing new paradigms.  John, the disciple of Jesus, never saw anything new until he was isolated with God on the island of Patmos, a rocky volcanic island in the Aegean Seas.

 Revelation 21
1 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.

Becoming an innovative leader, simply means getting along with God and hearing His voice. Writing down what He reveals to you can help you imagine the possibilities for your life and organization(Revelation 1;19; 3:1; 14:13).  From there, creativity and innovation will begin to birth forth from your soul.
